The poor parrot fell in the water here and has just climbed back on the canoe. It was rather funny even though I felt a bit sorry for him.

A typical hut. Everything is self contained in a single room from the wash/dry room to the kitchen, bed room (or rather hammock room) and storage room for the coke bottles.

A warao in the making. After the tree trunk is dug out the trunk is put fire to seal it and expand the wood giving it the structure of a canoe.
